Join Red Oak Management Co, Inc. as a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Detroit, MI, and play a key role in shaping thriving residential communities across the city.

This is a full-time, onsite role with a standard schedule of 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. While you'll enjoy predictable hours, you'll also need to be available for occasional emergency calls. There's no traditional on-call rotation, and you'll leave directly from your home to your assigned property or service area each day-no central office check-in required.

APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in residential maintenance or construction
- Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
- Ability to work with both occupied and vacant units
- Willingness to maintain property inside and out
- Capability to prioritize work and stay organized
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of fair housing rules and regulations
- Experience in affordable housing
YOUR DAY
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will work in both occupied and vacant units, completing work orders and preparing apartments for new residents. Throughout the day, you will ensure the property's curb appeal meets company and legal standards, balancing ongoing maintenance needs with timely responses to resident requests. You will work closely with the property manager to prioritize tasks and keep your workspace organized. When needed, you will collaborate with vendors, ensuring that you have the support required to maintain the property inside and out. Your strong customer service mindset will guide your interactions, making sure every resident and guest feels respected.
