Job Description
Assistant Project ManagerOur client is a highly respected construction management and general contracting firm with a strong presence throughout Maine. As a 100% employee-owned organization, they foster a culture where team members have a direct stake in the company's success and long-term growth.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with the successful execution of multimillion-dollar construction projects
Assist with project documentation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and procurement activities
Monitor project progress and help ensure milestones, budgets, and quality expectations are achieved
Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings and maintain accurate project records
Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project correspondence
Collaborate with field teams to address project challenges and maintain construction schedules
Track project costs and assist with forecasting and reporting functions

Minimum of 2 years of construction industry experience
Experience supporting commercial construction projects, preferably with budgets in the multimillion-dollar range
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
Field experience or direct exposure to jobsite operations is highly preferred
Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications is a plus
