Appellate Brief Writing Attorney | Jacksonville, FL

A highly respected litigation firm in Jacksonville is seeking a Draft Litigation / Appellate Brief Writing Attorney to join its growing team. This unique opportunity is designed for an exceptional legal writer who excels in research, analysis, and persuasive drafting and prefers to focus on substantive written advocacy rather than regular courtroom appearances.

Position Overview

This attorney will focus heavily on litigation drafting, appellate brief writing, legal research, and complex case analysis for sophisticated trial and appellate matters. The ideal candidate is a great writer who enjoys breaking down complicated legal issues and developing clear, strategic, and persuasive arguments.

Experience in appellate matters, construction litigation, land use, and/or real estate litigation is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Florida Bar admission in good standing
  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and drafting abilities
  • Experience drafting appellate briefs, dispositive motions, or other substantive litigation documents
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex legal issues into persuasive written arguments
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an experienced litigation team
