Role Title: ApplicationData Engineering ContractorLocationConnecticut (Hybrid /Remote)Pay Rate - /hrWe are hiring an ApplicationData Engineering contractor to support web application development, data engineering, ETL pipeline development, and backend database integration within the Azure Commercial Cloud environment. This role will work closely with application, data, platform, and business teams to build and support cloud-based business applications using Azure Web Apps, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, SQL Server, Redis cache, and modern UI/API development technologies.Must-Have SkillsStrong Snowflake database experience, including creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, tasks/jobs, and writing medium to complex SQL queriesExperience with Snowflake schema design, data loading, query tuning, and troubleshootingAzure Web Application development experienceExperience developing application user interfaces using React.js, Angular, or similar frontend frameworksStrong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScriptBackend API development experience using .NET Core, Node.js,Python FastAPI , or similar frameworksExperience building and consuming REST APIsAzure Data Factory creation, data pipeline development, scheduling, monitoring, and maintenanceHands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration patternsExperience integrating applications with Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob StorageRedis cache knowledge, including cache-aside patterns, performance improvement, and troubleshootingWeb application security knowledge, including authentication, authorization, role-based access control, OAuth, SSO, JWT, and secure API accessStrong troubleshooting skills across UI, API, database, data pipeline, and access-related issuesExperience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOpsExperience with Git-based source control, branching, pull requests, and deployment workflowsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identity, and Application InsightsKnowledge of data governance, data quality checks, data lineage, and data validationExperience with Databricks, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, or other ETL/data engineering toolsExperience with performance tuning for SQL queries, APIs, and web applicationsKnowledge of cloud security, network connectivity, private endpoints, firewall rules, and secrets managementExperience working in Agile teams with user stories, sprint planning, testing, and production supportThe pay range for this role is k - k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.also offers benefits like medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and paid time off (including holidays, parental leave, and sick leave, as required by law).
