- Start Date: March or April ▶︎Job SummaryWe are looking for a versatile Application Platform / DevOps Engineer to support an IT organization within a Japanese financial services firm in the Americas.This role focuses on application platform operations, development support, and migration initiatives, working closely with multiple application teams in an Agile environment.This position requires a broad technical skill set, hands-on mindset, and the ability to flexibly support various tools and processes across the application lifecycle.▶︎ Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for application platforms, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Support application development initiatives, including coordination with multiple application teams.
- Manage and support DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, container-based environments, and release processes
- Support frequent application releases in an Agile development environment
- Utilize GitHub for module management and application operational support
- Support front-office and middle-office applications across the Americas (primarily web-based and microservices)
- Broad experience across application platform operations, development support, and migration projects
- Strong understanding of the full SDLC, with hands-on experience completing at least two full development cycles
- Experience working in Agile development environments with frequent releases
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple application teams
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience with DevOps-related technologies such as:
- GitHub / GitHub Actions
- CI/CD pipelines
- Container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Experience supporting financial services
