Job Description

THE PROGRAM

We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 6-month co-op, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Co-Ops will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

Timeframe - Fall Co-op- Must be available July 13- December 18, 2026 and can work full-time, 40 hrs/week in a hybrid work environment.

THE ROLE

The Software Engineer Co-Op will learn and develop with the guidance from the Bose Application Software Team who are responsible for delivering Bose audio solution to infotainment system of Bose automotive customers.  During the Co-Op they will develop a Bose Software Customer Delivery Project, which will be presented at the end of the Co-op.

Some Projects and/or tasks may include:

Requirement analysis, software development, technical interfacing, testing, project management and troubleshooting.

REQUIREMENTS

            Working on BS in Engineering with Software development focusBasic Programming Knowledge of embedded C, C++, PERL, Python, CAPL

            Understanding of software engineering practices and basic software concepts.Outstanding customer technical interfacing, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

            Great team player with engineering teams.Excellent oral and written communications skills in English. Effectively building relationships to facilitate communication.

Preferred Experience:

            Interest in the Automotive industryLinux and/or Android software development for automotive would be a plus
