Application Technical Specialist I Compensation: pay $17.00/hr ; benefits after 90 days ; 401(k) match after 1 year (eligibility dates)
Application Technical Specialist I Highlights: contract w/ potential perm based on attendance/performance/business needs; required availability: On-site in Smithfield, RI (4–5 days in office); 40 hrs/week; Mon–Fri 8-hour shift that may fluctuate to support evening/night projects and different time zones. Paid training is onsite 5 days/week; training shifts fall between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.
Application Technical Specialist I Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting to field technicians/vendors/contractors during technology implementations/upgrades in stores
- Handle inbound calls via a queue and make outbound calls as needed (not a consumer/customer call center)
- Update tracking applications, complete system validations, and document work clearly
- Provide project updates via email/Excel when not actively handling calls
- Support multiple rollout projects simultaneously and ensure protocols are followed
Application Technical Specialist I Requirements: High School Diploma/GED; attendance mandatory first 90 days
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 1+ year relevant work experience
- Clear, accurate, tactful verbal and written communication
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work onsite and adjust shift times as projects require
Application Technical Specialist I Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Exposure to IT hardware installations / technology implementations (preferred, not required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects at once
