We are seeking an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to maintain and support ApplinX web development modernization solutions implemented within legacy applications. The consultant will collaborate with internal technical staff to incorporate, test, and implement application changes, support ApplinX-related operations, and provide knowledge transfer to enable ongoing internal support.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ApplinX/Web development experience, Java expertise, modern web technology knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support ApplinX web development modernization solutions.

• Develop and implement limited application enhancements as required.

• Develop, configure, and maintain ApplinX solutions and related web applications.

• Support ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and formulate requirements.

• Analyze business needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Incorporate, test, and implement application changes.

• Perform application and QA testing to ensure reliable and well-performing solutions.

• Develop and maintain web applications using Java and modern web technologies.

• Work with service-oriented architecture and web service integration methods, including SOAP and REST.

• Follow Agile software development practices.

• Troubleshoot application and web development issues and implement appropriate solutions.

• Apply development and integration best practices to support stable application operations.

• Document technical solutions and development activities as appropriate.

• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to internal staff.

• Communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation formats.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java development experience.

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.

• Experience working with ApplinX version 11 or later.

• Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to build and formulate business requirements.

• Knowledge of Agile software development.

• Strong working knowledge of modern web technologies, including:

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

  • jQuery

• Experience with web service integration methods and service-oriented architecture.

• Programming expertise in Java or Microsoft .NET.

• Strong analytical ability to design and structure well-performing websites.

• Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Experience with RHEL 8.10/Linux.

• Advanced experience with JavaServer Pages (JSP).

• Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Advanced experience with ApplinX 11.1.

• Intermediate experience with Adabas.

• Advanced experience with QA testing.

• Advanced PC skills.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced experience with SQL Server.

• Intermediate experience with Jira Software.

• Intermediate experience with Agile methodologies.

• WebLogic experience is helpful.

• Experience with SCL is helpful.
