Job Description

Join Aprio's Specialty Tax team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Associate, Sales Tax Compliance to join their dynamic team.

Position Responsibilities:

Prepare workpapers and file state and local sales tax returns
Conduct research on various indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements.
Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Amenable to working the night shift from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PHT at either the Clark or Makati site.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
1 to 2 years of experience related in tax and/or accounting
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
A quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced setting.
General computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
A data-conscious individual willing to learn how systems/software integrate and produce information to verify data or identify anomalies.
A proven track record of working independently with a strong sense of ownership.
Responsible and reliable, capable of maintaining individual production while fostering a team atmosphere.
Possess deductive reasoning and a growth mindset.
Open to embracing new challenges and devising innovative solutions.
