For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Oklahoma Field Office. This is an remote position. Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 795 hours. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. Qualifications: Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Archaeology OR BA/BS Degree in Anthropology/Archaeology with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Archaeology
Duties: Adheres with Section 106 compliance related to The OFO 2020 Resource Management Plan (EIS) covering TX/OK/KS planning area. Cultural Resources: Make a reasonable and good faith effort to carry out appropriate identification efforts to determine potential to affect historic properties per 36 CFR Section 800.4(b)(l) and the appropriate existing laws, regulations, and policies. Meet its Section 110 responsibilities through actions such as, but not limited to, inventory, monitoring, stabilization, outreach, and interpretation. Resolve adverse effects on cultural viewsheds where visual setting contributes to the significance of an historic property. Minimize noise around sacred sites, TCPs, historic resources, cemeteries, and burial sites.Treaty Rights and Tribal Interests: Identify places of importance to Federally recognized tribes, ethnic communities, historic communities of practice, and other appropriate groups, through public outreach, public involvement, and other consultation processes. Account for impacts of proposed actions on the social and economic setting of traditional communities and Federally recognized tribes. Consider impacts on social conditions for all impacted cultural and ethnic groups, assess impacts on market and non-market economics within all planning areas, and identify and assess impacts on environmental justice communities in all NEPA and BLM planning documents.
