Teradyne Robotics - Redefining Automation Together

At Teradyne Robotics, we're shaping the future of automation. As part of Teradyne Inc., we unite market-leading automation brands Universal Robots and MiR to create next-generation robotics for markets across the world.

With over 110,000 industrial collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots sold globally, we're transforming industries and empowering businesses of all sizes. We're proud to say that our customers count on us.

Join Our Team

Join our sales team and become part of one of the fastest-growing robotics companies in the world. Together, we build strong partnerships, shape automation ecosystems, and create a future where people work with robots-not like robots.

Your Role

As an Area Sales Manager at Teradyne Robotics, you drive growth by developing your region with a clear focus on end customers and scalable partner business.

You engage directly with end users to understand their challenges and translate them into impactful automation solutions using Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). At the same time, you enable and steer a strong partner ecosystem to scale these solutions.

You work closely with cross-functional teams such as Application Engineering, Marketing, Sales Support, and Service to deliver the best possible customer outcomes.

Success in this role means combining customer intimacy, strong internal collaboration, and structured pipeline execution.

We are not able to offer relocation for this role, and we need someone with a German citizenship.

Your Responsibilities

Customer & Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities with a strong focus on end customers.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into value-driven automation solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and drive value-based sales.

Partner Enablement & Scaling

  • Develop and manage a high-performing network of OEMs, system integrators, and distributors.
  • Enable partners to successfully address end-customer needs and scale solutions.
  • Support partners through joint customer engagement and deal execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Application Engineering to design and position solutions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, and lead generation.
  • Partner with Sales Support for efficient quotation and contracting processes.
  • Align with Global Key Account Managers on strategic accounts.
  • Engage Service teams to ensure long-term customer success.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally.

Pipeline & Execution

  • Own and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and structured opportunity management.
  • Take ownership for achieving sales targets and regional growth.

Your Goals

To succeed in this role, you will focus on:

  • Growth: Expanding business with end customers and through partners.
  • Customer Impact: Delivering measurable value and strong customer outcomes.
  • Execution: Building a reliable pipeline and consistently achieving targets.
  • Collaboration: Leveraging internal teams to win and scale opportunities.

Work Setup

  • Flexible working model (remote, hybrid, or office-based).
  • High travel activity (approx. 60-80%) for customer and partner engagement.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or technical B2B sales.
  • Strong experience working with partners such as OEMs or system integrators.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive sales growth.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Structured, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Why join us?

Your mission will be building meaningful relationships with relevant end-users and partners, understanding their unique challenges, and guiding them through solutions that create real impact for both.

You'll be trusted to lead strategic conversations on behalf of both Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) from the shop floor to the executive suite, connecting operational needs with the long-term benefits of automation and robotics.

Working here means being part of a highly innovative and rapidly evolving robotics company. We're making a difference to our customers' business every day across a wide range of industries. Every day brings opportunities to learn, innovate, and solve meaningful challenges alongside some of the brightest minds in automation.
