Explore, Experiment, Innovate at a free, five-day camp experience

Parent or guardian, is your middle school student very curious about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) beyond the classroom? Apply now for your student to attend Argonne Science Discovery Camp! In this camp, rising eighth and ninth graders with a developing passion in the STEM areas come together to learn about the exciting work done at a national laboratory! By working in groups on hands-on projects, interviewing science and technology experts, and touring the labs and world-renowned scientific facilities, campers hone their skills and gain insight into the future of science and technology!

In this free, five-day enrichment experience, campers will learn about several STEM fields that Argonne specializes in, from computing to future energy innovations! This camp is designed for students that have a high curiosity about science and want to learn more and who enjoy working in groups with others. The camp will include opportunities for open-ended exploration and projects, creativity and teamwork that model how Argonne scientists do their exciting work.

Education and Experience Requirements

Be a rising eighthor ninthgrader this summer.

Be available to participate in the full five-day program.

Be able to provide their own transportation.

Eligibility note: To support local participation, this camp is intended for students who live and/or attend school in the Chicagoland area.
