Job Description
Seeking a knowledgeable and patient Radiology Tutor to help a student prepare for the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Radiography Certification Exam. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of radiography concepts, ARRT exam content, and effective test-preparation strategies.
The tutor will work one-on-one with the student to strengthen understanding of key radiologic technology topics, improve confidence, and develop successful exam-taking skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized tutoring sessions focused on ARRT Radiography exam preparation
- Review core topics including:
- Patient care
- Radiation protection and safety
- Image production
- Radiographic procedures
- Assist with practice questions, mock exams, and study planning
- Explain difficult radiology concepts in a clear and supportive manner
- Track student progress and adjust lessons based on strengths and weaknesses
- Help improve test-taking strategies and time management skills
Qualifications
- Background in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or related healthcare field
- ARRT certification preferred
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to simplify complex medical and imaging concepts
- Reliable, organized, and encouraging personality
Compensation
- $35/hour
- Flexible scheduling based on student availability
Preferred Candidate
- Experience helping students prepare for ARRT or similar healthcare certification exams
- Familiarity with current ARRT exam structure and study resources
