The Covey Arts Center is seeking a part-time Marketing Specialist to develop marketing campaigns and strategies that promote performances, activities, programs, and exhibits at the Covey Center for the Arts. What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

What will I do?
Develop and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns using Google AdWords, Meta Ads, OTT marketing platforms, and other digital platforms.
Promote the Covey Center through all forms of media, including digital, print, broadcast, events, etc.
Create graphic design materials and printed materials for Covey Center according to strict brand guidelines.
Utilize Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. to create and manipulate digital and print assets such as photographs, web pages, graphics, social media images, banners, posters, signs, digital and print programs, contracts, and documents.
Coordinate the gathering of marketing information from renters and outside performing groups.
Take promotional photographs using DSLR camera in manual settings under a variety of lighting settings.
Update website content regularly, occasionally using HTML and/or CSS in collaboration with IT.
Create written blog posts, social media captions, interviews, etc.
Assist the General Manager in community outreach to secure grants, awards, sponsorships, and donations.
Develop regular analytics reports to incorporate high-level data analysis for UTM campaigns and AI-supported tools.
Oversee social media calendars, printed assets, and act as Editor-In-Chief of written and published communications.
Conduct interviews with artists/performers and occasionally act as on-screen "face" of The Covey.
Use Project Management software (ClickUp, Teams) to streamline workflows and share documents.
Collaborate closely with other marketing team members and volunteers, assist other staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.
Provide admin support in training, mentoring, hiring, and supervising, as needed.
Support guest services, ticketing, backstage crew, security, and other departments before, during, and/or after performances as needed.
Maintain a tight schedule and meet deadlines.
Maintain a positive, family-friendly working environment for all marketing employees and volunteers.
What are the requirements to apply?
Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, communication, business, or similar with some graphic design experience; or 2-4 years' experience in marketing and graphic design work.
Valid, lawful driver license is required at time of appointment.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website design is a plus.
Preference given to candidates with theatrical or arts experience.
Preference given to those who can utilize Adobe programs such as Premiere Pro and After Effects to create compelling short form video content.
What is the work schedule?
Up to 25 hours per week, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some weekend or evening work as needed. Actual schedule to be determined with supervisor.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This work requires remaining seated at a computer for long periods of time, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, moderate lifting, and other physical activities associated with working in an office and theatrical environment.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on April 21, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
