Job Description

Art Director, SocialThis role is designed for a creative dynamo with an art direction background who brings strong social content creation skills, lives and breathes social platforms, and has the instinct, taste, and point of view to create work that stands out and disrupts in culture.Primary Responsibilities (The What)Social Content Creation
-     Captures and produces content in real-time environments (events, shoots, cultural moments)
-     Demonstrates fluency in social platforms, formats, and best practices (TikTok, Reels, Stories, etc.)
-     Balances creative craft with speed and agility, adapting content based on performance and feedback
Creative Thought Leadership-     Uses understanding of client’s business, brand, industry, and target consumers to offer social-first, integrated, multi-channel campaign ideas that meet client business needs-Remains current on marketing, design, technology, social platform, language, and cultural trends, and infuses this knowledge into all creative work-     Collaborates effectively with Account and Strategy teams to bring unconventional thinking and innovation to the workCommunication & Storytelling-     Demonstrates an understanding of how ideas translate into engaging, platform-native content-Writes, presents, and communicates in a polished, articulate and persuasive manner across all mediums, internally and externally-     Listens well, building relationships internally and externally through respect, responsiveness, and open dialogue-Demonstrates a basic understanding of the agency's business model, structure, and offerings and how they come together in service of a client partner's business needs-Effectively manages internal communications, including explaining creative ideas, setting appropriate expectations, and responding to questions or concerns-Begins to demonstrate skill in leading meetings and delivering formal presentations (client and internal)-     Begins to contribute positively to Taylor's brand presence by engaging in social channels, thought leadership pieces, case studies, and other content and communicationsConcepting-     Actively participates in creative ideation for social content, digital campaigns, event activations, brand identity systems, print materials, and other campaign elements-     Partners effectively with others to uphold diversity of thought, integration, and collaboration across Taylor disciplines-     Effectively refines ideas into fully integrated program concepts and platform-native content concepts that drive business impact and deliver against defined objectives-     Works on multiple workstreams/programs simultaneously, ensuring that all work fits together as part of the broader strategy and brand identityExecution / Making-     Demonstrates accountability and ownership for all creative work on assigned projects, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams of account/PR, strategy, production, and analytics to develop creative that drives business impact-     Concepts and creates social content, including short-form video, static assets, and real-time/reactive content, with an emphasis on speed, relevance, and platform fluency-     Self-edits creative/design work in progress, incorporating feedback and direction from senior team members and collaborating with them to evolve and elevate the work-     Creates campaign look and feels, storyboards, comps, and other materials for presentations and final execution-     May attend shoots, events, edits, etc., actively collaborating with the team to ensure flawless executionBusiness Acumen-Completes timesheets accurately and in a timely manner-     Begins to learn and understand the scoping and budgeting process for assigned projects-     Proactively flags and escalates any allocations or work-load issues, collaborating with creative leadership to resolve issues accordinglyPeople Management-     May oversee the work of a fellow, beginning to learn and practice effective delegation, training, feedback delivery, recognition, expectation management, and other managerial skills-     Demonstrates diversity of thought, and encourages others to do the same-May participate in interviewing and selecting fellows for the agencyTaylor Values (The How)-     Respecting What's Right: makes ethical choices and treats others with respect by embracing diversity of backgrounds and thought-Entrepreneurial Enthusiasm: takes initiative and doesn't wait to be tapped. -     Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent education and work experience
-     3-5 years’ work experience as a creative in PR, Advertising, or Digital/Social Marketing
-     A conceptual thinker with an exceptional portfolio of work that is fresh, on trend, and demonstrates your strong pulse on culture, consumers, and media
-     Experience working across a wide range of media, with an emphasis on integrated programs across digital/social, video, print, and event/experiential
-     Hands-on experience creating social-first content (short-form video, static, real-time/reactive), with an understanding of platform best practices (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
-     Demonstrated ability to concept and make — comfortable moving from idea to execution quickly and independently when needed
-     Team player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environment
-     Must reside in the New York Metro area and be able to commute to our Manhattan office as needed
