Job Description
St. Bartholomew Catholic School is seeking a passionate, creative, and faith-filled Art Teacher to join our school community beginning January 2027. Serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 8, the Art Teacher will foster artistic expression while integrating Catholic values into a vibrant visual arts curriculum.ResponsibilitiesPlan and teach engaging visual arts lessons for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.Develop curriculum aligned with Indiana Academic Standards for Visual Arts.Foster creativity while teaching foundational techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and art history.Integrate Catholic faith, service, and stewardship into classroom instruction when appropriate.Create a welcoming, organized, and safe learning environment.Display student artwork throughout the school and coordinate school art exhibitions.Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support school-wide initiatives.Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field preferred-Valid Indiana teaching license (or eligibility for licensure).-Experience teaching elementary or middle school students is preferred.-Strong classroom management and communication skills.-Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.Compensation & Benefits-Competitive salary based on education and experience-Comprehensive benefits package.-Professional development opportunities.-Supportive faculty and administration.-Opportunity to positively impact students in a faith-centered learning environment.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, teaching license (or proof of eligibility) and three professional references to Charity Campbell at ccampbell@stbirish.net.Applications will be reviewed as they are received and will continue until the position is filled.
