The Teacher Assistant supports the lead teachers in providing a positive and engaging learning environment for students at Ascension Academy. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:■ Greet and assist parents, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.■ Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.■ Manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails.■ Maintain student records, including attendance, registration forms, and emergency contacts.■ Assist with the registration and enrollment process.■ Collect payments for tuition, fees, and programs.■ Prepare reports, newsletters, and other documents.■ Order and maintain office supplies.■ Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.■ Provide general administrative support to the director and other staff members.
Skills and Qualifications:■ Excellent customer service and communication skills.■ Strong organizational and time-management skills.■ Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.■ Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.■ Attention to detail and accuracy.■ Ability to maintain confidentiality.■ A professional and courteous demeanor.
