• A-Level / Master Tech: $40–$50/hr Flat Rate (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring experienced ASE Master Level Automotive Technician and B+ Level Automotive Technician for a highly respected independent repair shop in Timonium, MD. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
• Perform drivability, electrical, suspension, steering, and check engine light diagnostics
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, and general mechanical repairs
• Perform timing belt and timing chain repairs
• Conduct alignments and suspension diagnostics
• Utilize scan tools and digital vehicle inspection software effectively
• Communicate repair findings clearly with service advisors and teammates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Assist with mentoring and supporting team members when needed

Qualifications

ASE Master Technician

• Minimum of 5+ years of Automotive Technician experience in a professional shop
• Strong diagnostic, drivability, and electrical troubleshooting skills
• ASE Certifications REQUIRED
• Maryland State Inspection License REQUIRED
• Welding experience preferred
• Ability to mentor and assist other technicians
• Experience with advanced diagnostics and repair procedures

B+ Level Technician

• Minimum of 3+ years of Automotive Technician experience in a professional shop
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with suspension, steering, alignments (not just toe and goes!), and drivability concerns
• ASE Certifications preferred
• Maryland State Inspection License REQUIRED
• ADAS experience is a plus or willingness to learn

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
