Asphalt Foreman

We are looking for a dependable Asphalt Foreman to support our current and future roadway and transportation projects. This role requires working outdoors and managing a team of employees in various positions; directly impacting construction quality and project timelines

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage crews
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Subcontractors
• Oversee equipment and materials
• Enforce safety policies and procedures
• Administrative Duties
• Ability to provide feedback to crew members
• Follow safety procedures on active construction sites and around traffic
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook
• Follow all company safety policies outlined in the Employee Safety Manuel
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 3 years as a Foreman and 10+ years of experience in asphalt paving preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, understand asphalt paving methods, and operate equipment
• Ability to understand grades, construction layouts and possess detailed knowledge of GDOT specifications
• Familiar with electronic grade control for paver systems
• Strong organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills to manage crews effectively
• Basic math skills and attention to details
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid drivers license and second form of ID
• Clean driving record
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Ability to carry 50lbs
• Able to safely walk uneven terrain
• Professional Attitude and Conduct
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by Pittman Construction Safety Policies and Procedures and OSHA
• Be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the working environment
• Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
