A highly respected Black Hills area paving contractor is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on asphalt paving projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to run crews, manage schedules, and deliver safe, high-quality paving work from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all aspects of asphalt paving operations, including grading, base, paving, and striping
• Lead, schedule, and manage paving crews to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
• Coordinate equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractors to keep projects moving efficiently
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Monitor daily production, job costs, and schedules; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, owners, and suppliers
• Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety policies
• Troubleshoot field issues and proactively resolve challenges

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience supervising asphalt paving operations
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials, and equipment
• Proven ability to lead crews and maintain high production standards
• Solid understanding of grading, compaction, and paving specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read plans and coordinate work accordingly
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak paving season
