Western Engineering Co Inc is excited to welcome an Asphalt Plant Loader Operator to our energetic team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for operating the loader to efficiently move materials and ensure smooth asphalt plant operations. Your contribution will be vital to maintaining production schedules and delivering quality asphalt for projects across Iowa and Nebraska. Responsibilities
- Operate the loader in a plant setting to stockpile and load aggregates into the plant or trucks efficiently and safely
- Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately
- Assist with general plant maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Coordinate with plant personnel to maintain smooth workflow and timely production
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot operational challenges as they arise
Requirements
- Proven experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment, preferably in asphalt plant or construction settings
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational protocols
- Good mechanical aptitude to perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with plant and project personnel
- Flexibility to work varying hours and travel to different plant sites in Iowa and Nebraska
- Pass pre-employment drug screening.
