Location: Chestertown, MD 21620
Work Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $17 to $18 per hour

The Dixon Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Assembler to join our production team in Chestertown, MD! In this role, you'll contribute directly to the manufacturing of high‑quality products by performing welding preparation, assembling mechanical components, and conducting product testing. What You'll Do:
Prepare parts for welding through sanding, sandblasting, and pipe polishing
Assemble and test a variety of products, including:
Test pumps
Air tank manifolds
Swivel joints
Loading arms (as needed)
Follow shop orders, engineering drawings, and production prints to ensure accurate assembly
Assist with wooden crate construction for shipment of completed parts
Support other production areas and special projects as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous assembly or production experience is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands‑on work
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and follow shop orders and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to maintain an orderly workspace
