Assembler

Responsibilities:

Strong work ethicMaintains work area in a clean and orderly conditionDemonstrated ability to work quickly and neatly, while multitaskingPerforms minor maintenance of tools and makes minor adjustments to equipment operatedParticipates and complies with all safety standards and trainingOperates forklift and other rigging equipmentAssists in monitoring inventory and physical inventory counts when needed.Prepares valve assemblies and parts for testing, including driving studs, hand tapping, and general light assemblyAssist with test setupOperates drill presses and hand grinders, and uses some mechanics; hand tools are required to assisting to correct balances and to remove excess metals.

Work Environment:

Work near moving mechanical parts (exposure- 15% of work hours.)Risk of electrical shock (exposure- 5% of work hours)

Requirements:Education:

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of industrial experience

Licenses/Certificates:

None

Experience:

Experience in service of valves, valve automation, instrumentation a plus

Skills:

Ability to quickly learn technical product informationSelf-starter, able to take initiative and provide results independentlyAbility to multi-task and problem solve

Tools:

Basic hand tools which include screwdrivers, wrenches, ratches, etc.

Physical Demands:

Lifting of products. Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch
