Assembler
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to read packing lists and assembly drawings in order to assemble and package orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow assembly instructions, processes, and procedures by reviewing assembly instructions, drawings, and parts lists.
- Assemble orders by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Operate automated assembly machines, including hand-feeding of links, to complete production tasks.
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the Team Leader.
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader, Production Supervisor, or Manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required for building orders.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds is required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
