Description

Design-Tex is seeking a skilled and versatile Assembler to join our production team. Unlike environments where workers specialize in one small part of assembly, this role is responsible for assembling full cabinetry from start to finish. The Assembler must be able to interpret specifications, work with multiple cabinet types, and ensure every finished product meets quality and accuracy standards.

This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with woodworking components, and an ability to move smoothly through each step of the assembly process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complete cabinets according to drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
  • Work with a variety of cabinet styles, parts, and hardware, ensuring correct placement and alignment.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, shop drawings, and material lists.
  • Verify that all components are prepared and finished correctly before assembly.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Inspect finished cabinets for accuracy, structural integrity, and quality workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot issues or rework components as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow established production workflows.
  • Communicate material shortages or inconsistencies to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE.

Requirements

  • Experience in cabinet assembly, carpentry, woodworking, or a similar hands-on manufacturing role.
  • Ability to assemble full units (not just isolated components or sub-assemblies).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and alignments.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Competence with standard hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work through entire processes independently.

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Highly Competitive Pay + Incentive Bonuses - earn what you're worth and more
  • On-Demand Pay - access your earnings before payday
  • 100% Company-Paid Life & Disability Insurance - no cost to you
  • Generous PTO + 9 Paid Holidays - recharge and enjoy life
  • 200% 401(k) Match - we double your retirement savings
  • Annual Profit-Sharing Bonuses - your success drives ours
  • Company Stock Options - own a piece of the company you help grow
  • Dental & Vision Coverage - for complete peace of mind
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) - with company contributions
  • Tuition & Education Assistance - grow your skills and career

  • Fitness club reimbursement
  • Employee discounts
  • Special meals & appreciation events
