Job Description

Shift: 1st shift, 6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday

Compensation: Rate range based on experience. Offers will be made based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Must have a strong background and education relevant to the role.
  • Must present a copy of diploma or GED prior to interview and be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Not considering entry-level candidates. Looking for skills in mechanical assembly, soldering, electrical, machining, or engineering education.
  • Longevity in previous roles is preferred.

Interview Questions:

  • Can you describe an assembly process you are most familiar with? What steps are involved?
  • What types of hand tools and power tools have you used in your previous assembly work?
  • Have you ever used hand tools measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers)?
  • What is your experience with soldering and electrical assembly?
  • On a scale of 1-10, how comfortable are you with reading and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints?
  • Can you explain how you would ensure that an assembly meets the specified dimensions and tolerances?
  • What types of testing have you performed on assembled products? Can you describe the process?
  • Can you provide an example of a time when you had to learn a new skill or process quickly?
  • Give us an example of a time you had to troubleshoot or problem-solve a product that was difficult to put together and how you were successful.
  • On a scale of 1-10, how comfortable are you using a computer?

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently assemble/tests products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules.
  • Perform basic assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
  • Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to product specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, glaze, etc. Mix paint and clean parts.
  • Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
  • Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.

Required Skillset:

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
  • Ability to calculate basic shop math.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • At least two or more years of manufacturing experience, including assembly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in electronics technology is preferred.
  • Soldering experience is a plus.
