POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Team Lead to support RF&I (Radio Frequency & Interconnect) production in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role will lead a team assembling connectors, cables, and PCB-related components, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to strict aerospace standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support a team of assemblers in RF&I production (connectors, cables, PCB assemblies)
- Oversee daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and output targets
- Perform and guide hands-on assembly including wiring, soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards, work instructions, and aerospace quality requirements
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and drive corrective actions
- Train and mentor team members, especially during shift transition from 1st to 2nd shift
- Monitor quality of work, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to specifications
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process improvements)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing
- Prior leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with RF connectors, cable assemblies, or PCB assemblies preferred
- Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and small component assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work across shifts during transition period
- Strong communication and leadership skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or certifications (IPC, electronics, etc.) preferred
