Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Perform inspection, assembly, and testing of electric cable connectors (Motor Lead Extensions)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow assembly procedures to produce quality products
Diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs
Visually inspect internal and external components
Test all electric cable connectors
Pull, measure and cut cable to length on cable-cutting machine
Work effectively with all employees and be a team player
Follow procedures and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Perform on the job training as needed
Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: One year shop and/or assembly experience preferred

Training: Training is specific to assigned product line duties.

Skills:

Ability to follow policies and procedures at all times

Ability to read engineering blueprints, drawings and work instructions

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and Company specific systems and databases

Strong attention to detail

Good problem solving and analytical skills

Solid technical / mechanical skills

Ability to operate forklift and loader

Use of hand and power tools

Use and read basic measuring tools

Ability to perform basic math

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Continuously required to move about the facility

Standing periodically for long periods of time

Pushing, pulling and lifting items up to 50 lbs.

Work is performed in both a controlled & uncontrolled climate environment

Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory

This is a safety sensitive position
