Asset Management Specialist:$81,723.20 to $131,580.80 annually
Senior Asset Management Specialist: $97,323.20 to $156,707.20 annually
Typically, selected candidates are hired at a salary rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Position Summary
The Asset Strategy and Planning department guides long-term asset decisions across the organization by evaluating future needs, risks, and priorities. This position supports that mission by collaborating with subject matter experts and analyzing key asset data to develop and maintain asset class strategies that inform acquisition, maintenance, renewal, and replacement.
Depending on qualifications and experience, incumbents may:
- Support the development, application, and maintenance of asset class strategies and plans for assigned portions of the Asset Portfolio. (Asset Management Specialist)
- Including applying pre-established processes, templates, methodologies, and tools. (Asset Management Specialist)
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of asset class strategies across one of our divisions. (Sr. Asset Management Specialist)
- Including creating and maintaining processes, methodologies, and tools that guide asset class strategies. (Sr. Asset Management Specialist).
Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Asset Management Specialist:
- Prepare Asset Class Strategies establishing integrated acquisition, maintenance, renewal, replacement, and disposal strategies in consultation with all contributing departments.
- Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes for collecting, storing, maintaining, and analyzing Asset Data and Information.
- Supports in the development and maintenance of asset whole-life cost models; monitors, forecasts, and reports on asset costs to support informed asset planning, investment, and replacement decisions.
- Uses Asset Management Risk Models to quantify asset risk and apply risk-based insights to decision making.
- Assists with the development of asset condition rating guidelines with input from Maintenance and Engineering to oversee and support the collection of asset condition data and forecast the health of the overall Asset Portfolio.
- Analyze asset condition, performance, and risks to support data-driven investment decisions.
- Drives improvements with Grant PUD IT staff and affected stakeholders to identify the functional requirements for Enterprise Asset and Work Management.
- Promotes and supports organization-wide Asset Management through training, meeting facilitations, and written and verbal communication including formal presentations.
- Monitors the implementation and execution of asset plans and strategies, assesses compliance and performance against expected outcomes, and recommends corrective actions or improvements.
Senior Asset Management Specialist:
- Prepare Asset Class Strategies establishing integrated acquisition, maintenance, renewal, replacement, and disposal strategies in consultation with all contributing departments.
- Develop and implement strategies for collecting, storing, maintaining, and analyzing Asset Data and Information.
- Develops asset whole-life cost models; monitors, forecasts, and reports on asset costs to support informed asset planning, investment, and replacement decisions.
- Develops Asset Management Risk Models to quantify asset risk and apply risk-based insights to decision making.

Required Qualifications: (Education and Experience, License, and/or Certification)
Asset Management Specialist:
- Associates degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field or 1 additional year of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 1 year of experience in asset intensive industries such as utilities, telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Completion of, or have the ability to successfully complete, the following course within the required timeframe(s):
- Within one (1) year of hire: Institute of Asset Management Certificate
Senior Asset Management Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field OR successful completion of electric utility apprenticeship; or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Three years experience leading cross functional teams, developing strategy, planning, or closely related profession.
- Completion of, or have the ability to successfully complete, the following course within the required timeframe(s):
- Within one (1) year of hire: Institute of Asset Management Certificate
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and Experience, License, and/or Certification)
- 4+ years of experience in asset intensive industries such as utilities, telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, or similar environments; experience with applicable work management.
- Special focus in business analytics, operations, risk management, utility operations, root cause analysis, corrective action programs, continuous improvement programs, or other related fields.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Grant PUD policies and procedures, federal and state rules, internal controls.
- Knowledge of equipment used in the operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and communication systems.
- Basic understanding of Failure Analysis and Failure Mode identification.
- Knowledge of business, operations, or engineering within an electric utility context.
- Ability to collaborate across departments, facilitate discussion between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and communicate complex topics clearly both in written and oral communications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, risk analysis, and root cause analysis
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, manage workload, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency in process design and implementation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of MS Office, EAM/CMMS, GIS

- Will perform work onsite at the locations of the assigned Business Units
