POSITION OVERVIEW
The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing all commercial contracts and financial performance related to one or more power‑generation assets. This role ensures that each asset operates in alignment with applicable regulations, internal policies, and strategic objectives. The Asset Manager serves as a central coordinator across internal teams and external stakeholders, driving operational excellence, optimizing market interactions, and supporting long‑term value creation. The position is based in Houston, with occasional travel to asset sites.
The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages/improves P&L for generating assets, optimizing market interactions.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, financial analyses, modeling, ad hoc reports.
- Ensures compliance with PPAs, leases, financings, regulations.
- Supports strategic decisions (hedging, O&M).
- Coordinates cross-team; maintains stakeholder relationships.
- Manage new natural gas power plant assets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in asset management, procurement, or energy management.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Power BI.
- Self-starter with strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Experience managing natural gas power plants.
- building teams for natural gas power plants.
COMPENSATION: $160,000 - $180,000 salary
