Job Description
[What the role is]
You will be part of a team responsible for translating the policies and strategies of the HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STI (HHS) Division into actionable programmes and projects. This involves working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners to implement interventions aimed at controlling HIV and STIs and eliminating viral hepatitis C in Singapore. You will be responsible for planning and implementing key initiatives, such as training and outreach programmes. The position also involves data management and reporting, where the job holder will collect and analyse data from programme activities to assess their impact and effectiveness to inform strategic decisions and policy formulations. Additionally, the role involves educational outreach and public health messaging, where the job holder will assist in developing and disseminating educational materials and campaigns to promote health awareness and encourage participation in prevention and treatment programmes. Overall, the role demands a proactive approach, strong collaboration skills.
[What you will be working on]
- Management of one of the following programmes: the Enhanced HIV Programmes, the National STI Programme and DSC Clinic, or the National Hepatitis C Programme.
- Issuance of agreements and budgets, monitoring of key performance indicators, co-creation of programmes with monitoring and evaluation.
- Perform in-depth case investigations in response to disease outbreaks and subsequent reporting of findings to the relevant stakeholders.
- Conceptualisation, development, and conduct of education and outreach programmes aimed at increasing awareness of the relevant diseases to increase testing and treatment, and reduction of stigma.
- Management and conducting of research projects as required.
- Any other division-related matters.
[What we are looking for]
- Minimum tertiary qualifications in recognised disciplines, preferably in Public Health, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape in Singapore, particularly in HIV, hepatitis C, and STI management, would be advantageous.
- Experience in public health programme management, stakeholder engagement, or related areas would also be advantageous.
- Ability to navigate the complexities of public health initiatives, including managing multiple projects, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring the successful implementation of health programmes.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a diverse environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
