Assistant Community Manager – The Terrace Hammond

Location: Hammond, LA

The Terrace Hammond is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Community Manager to join our apartment community team in Hammond, Louisiana. We are looking for a strong candidate with prior property management experience and proficiency with OneSite who is ready to help support daily operations and contribute to the success of our community.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys resident interaction, property operations, leasing, and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with the daily operations of the property
  • Help oversee on-site staff and delegate tasks in the absence of the Community Manager
  • Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries from prospective residents
  • Demonstrate apartment homes and follow up with prospects to drive occupancy
  • Conduct market surveys and support community marketing efforts
  • Verify applicant information and income in accordance with LIHTC compliance standards
  • Conduct move-in inspections and review welcome packets with new residents
  • Maintain organized legal files and resident records
  • Assist with resident service requests, complaints, newsletters, and community events
  • Maintain account records and assist with preparation of reports and legal documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property management in a role with responsibilities equivalent to an Assistant Manager
  • OneSite experience preferred
  • Experience with LIHTC properties is a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment
