Assistant Construction Project Manager Description:
Duties and Requirements
Support Project Managers with the coordination of multiple active construction and capital improvement projects.
Track project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Review and process purchase orders, invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders with strong attention to detail.
Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, approvals, drawings, schedules, and related records.
Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to support project execution.
Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to help ensure project deadlines are met.
Assist with preparing reports related to project budgets, costs, and overall project progress.
Track committed costs and maintain accurate financial reporting for construction and capital projects.
Participate in project meetings and provide project status updates to stakeholders.
Experience supporting construction projects or construction project management teams.
Experience with construction budgets, cost tracking, or capital project financial reporting.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Excel strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with contractors and internal teams.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience with construction project management or accounting systems is a plus.
