Assistant Construction Project Manager Description:

Duties and Requirements

  • Support Project Managers with the coordination of multiple active construction and capital improvement projects.

  • Track project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

  • Review and process purchase orders, invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders with strong attention to detail.

  • Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, approvals, drawings, schedules, and related records.

  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to support project execution.

  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to help ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Assist with preparing reports related to project budgets, costs, and overall project progress.

  • Track committed costs and maintain accurate financial reporting for construction and capital projects.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide project status updates to stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting construction projects or construction project management teams.

  • Experience with construction budgets, cost tracking, or capital project financial reporting.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Excel strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with contractors and internal teams.

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with construction project management or accounting systems is a plus.
