This position supports the Controller in ensuring accurate financial statements, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP, while partnering closely with project teams to provide financial insight across repairs, renovations, and new construction projects.The ideal candidate brings a strong construction accounting background, is highly proficient in NetSuite, and thrives in a dynamic, project-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & CloseAssist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statementsPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesSupport the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAPConstruction & Project AccountingOversee job costing, WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and margin analysisReview project financials to ensure accurate cost allocation, revenue recognition, and forecast updatesPartner with project managers to analyze job performance, variances, and profitabilityNetSuite & SystemsServe as a key NetSuite power user, supporting system integrity, reporting, and process improvementsAssist with NetSuite enhancements, integrations, and workflow optimizationDevelop and maintain financial and operational reports for managementInternal Controls & ComplianceSupport the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policiesEnsure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulatory requirementsAssist with audits, reviews, and external reporting requirementsLeadership & Team SupportSupervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional developmentQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in construction accountingStrong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accountingHands-on experience with NetSuiteSolid understanding of GAAP and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skillsPreferredCPA or CMA designationExperience in luxury residential construction or high-end home servicesExperience supporting a company with $50M–$150M in annual revenuePrior supervisory or team-lead experienceInterested in hearing more?
