The Assistant Deli Manager at Cosentinos Sun Fresh #156 is a key leadership role, responsible for assisting in the efficient and profitable operation of the deli department. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong Management and Leadership skills, capable of driving sales and ensuring exceptional Customer Service . The Assistant Deli Manager will work closely with the Deli Manager to oversee daily Operations , manage staff, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. This role demands excellent Communication and Interpersonal Communications skills, along with the ability to effectively manage Time Management and Finance related tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily Operations of the deli department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Provide Leadership and guidance to deli staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Assist in managing inventory, controlling costs.
Ensure exceptional Customer Service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Assist in training and development of deli staff, focusing on product knowledge and service standards.
Implement and maintain Organizational Skills to ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked department.
Effectively manage Time Management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Assist in Coordinating schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Demonstrate strong Sales skills by promoting deli products and specials.
Maintain Confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications:
General knowledge of deli operations and food safety standards.
Demonstrated Management and Leadership abilities.
Excellent Customer Service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Communications skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to use Problem Solving skills to address operational challenges.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a deli or food service environment.
Experience with Sales and promotional activities.
