Assistant Director

• Oversee daily school operations, staffing, scheduling, and program compliance.
• Support and uphold Montessori methodology across all classrooms.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and coaching to teaching staff.
• Maintain communication with ownership, families, community partners, and teaching staff.
• Lead enrollment, admissions, and student placement processes.
• Ensure adherence to state licensing regulations and internal policies.
• Uphold school culture, professional expectations, and child safety standards.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Montessori certification (AMI/AMS/MACTE) strongly preferred.
• Leadership or administrative experience in a Montessori or early childhood setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams with professionalism and accountability.
• Understanding of licensing requirements and early childhood best practices preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

A Little Journey Montessori School is an early childhood educational program based on the Montessori method. We are a state licensed childcare facility with an infant room, toddler room, and preschool room. Our school strives to provided high quality education to young children.
