Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.- Supervise and lead nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure a skilled and compassionate team.- Monitor and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring they align with individual needs and regulatory requirements.- Foster a culture of excellence in patient care, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, conducting regular audits and assessments.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance communication and coordination of care.- Handle escalated patient care issues, collaborating with staff to resolve challenges effectively.- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, facilitating clear communication and addressing concerns promptly.
Qualifications:- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred or LPN. Valid AZ state license.- Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and quality improvement processes.- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
