Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Clinical Officer in overseeing the clinical operations of our skilled nursing facility while ensuring high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of nursing services in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
- Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols.
- Coordinate resident care activities with the healthcare team, enhancing interdisciplinary communication.
- Assist in ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to staff training and development to promote effective nursing practices.
- Support the Chief Clinical Officer in administrative functions and operational planning.
- Support the clinical team to promote retention and job satisfaction
- Provide support the clinical team afterhours and over the weekend when necessary
- Responsible for hiring, progressive discipline, training, mentoring, and coaching staff
Requirements
- Must have a current and active California Registered nurse license (BSN preferred)
- Strong professional communication, relationship building, and organization skills
- Three to five years nursing leadership experience; direct personnel management experience highly preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to run with large conceptual ideas, operationalize projects, and direct appropriate staff
- Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Our multiple testing capabilities, including Point-of-Care (POC) testing, are available at every location and comply with CMS and local guidance
