We're seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our leadership team at The Recovery Village Salem in Salem, Oregon.

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced behavioral health environment and is ready to help shape clinical excellence while mentoring and supporting a dedicated team of nurses.

What You'll Do

In this leadership role, you will:

  • Lead and support daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Mentor, coach, and supervise nursing and behavioral health staff.
  • Partner with the Director of Nursing to maintain clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows to support patient needs.
  • Oversee medication management, pharmacy coordination, and nursing supply inventory.
  • Monitor infection prevention practices and conduct quality assurance audits.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, laboratory services, and continuity of care.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance within AVATAR.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and external healthcare partners to provide seamless patient care.
  • Support emergency preparedness and maintain safe staffing during critical situations.
  • Assist with specialty programs, including Vivitrol coordination, as assigned.
  • Serve as the Director of Nursing in their absence when needed.

Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, licensed as a Registered Nurse as indicated in State law, higher education preferred
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Licensed Registered Nurse. Behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of practice.
