We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Machine Operator to support production in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
Job Summary:
This role supports machine operation in the production of corrugated boxes, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with machine setup according to specific procedures
- Start, stop, and monitor machine operations
- Make adjustments during setup and production runs to ensure quality
- Perform and document required quality checks on each order
- Inspect boxes for defects (glue joints, print quality, folding accuracy, board quality)
- Shut down machines as needed to address quality issues
- Identify and report nonconforming materials to the supervisor
- Enter production data into the system
- Clear machine jams and assist with minor mechanical repairs
- Feed corrugated blanks into the machine hopper
- Monitor quality of materials and communicate issues
- Obtain necessary materials such as dunnage and load tags
- Operate load former and stack finished boxes
- Ensure correct unit configuration per customer specifications
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness standards
