Job Summary:
Join our team as an Assistant Manager, Group Exercise and turn your passion for fitness and leadership into a rewarding career. Responsibilities:
Design innovative programs by developing and managing cutting-edge group fitness classes that inspire participation and promote member retention.
Build a talented team by recruiting, hiring and mentoring creative, certified instructors to lead diverse fitness offerings.
Host certification workshops, facilitate skill-sharing forums, and support staff in attending local training events.
Monitor and improve quality by conducting regular performance evaluations and class audits to ensure programs meet professional and safety standards.
Drive community engagement by acting as the program's primary ambassador, maintaining open communication with members and responding to feedback promptly.
Introduce and manage specialty classes, master sessions, and a successful fee-based Pilates Reformer program.
Monitor class attendance and prepare detailed monthly reports for leadership.
Represent the organization at fitness conferences and tradeshows to network and recruit top talent.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least two years of management experience and one year actively leading group fitness classes.
Nationally recognized group exercise certification (e.g., AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA) is required.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required.
Outgoing personality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to foster connections with staff and members alike.
Experience with tools like Excel and PowerPoint to create reports and marketing materials.
Deep understanding of safe exercise practices and modifying programs for diverse or high-risk clientele.
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $33.15 - $34.15/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Additionally, Exos offers a variety of part time benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).
