Rank:Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor.

Assignment:Preferencewill be given to candidates withexpertiseininformationassurance,cybersecurity or analytics, butwe are opento scholars in all areasrelated to informationsystems. Research productivity is required.

PositionStatus:Subject to final budgetaryapproval.AppointmentwillbeginSeptember 1, 2026.

Qualifications: Theminimumqualification is a doctorate in InformationSystems,Business Analytics or a closelyrelatedfield, from an AACSB, or ABET accredited school.Provenresearchproductivityand/ordemonstratedresearchpotential is also required.Previousteachingexperienceandcommitment to classroomteaching(includingproficiency in writtenandspoken English) is alsorequired.ABDcandidateswhoexpecttocompletetheirdoctorate by the time of the appointmentwill be considered.Theadditionalminimumrequirementsforappointment at the rank ofassociateprofessorare a well-establishedresearchrecordand at leastsix years of faculty experience at the rank of assistantprofessor orhigher.

College of Business:The graduateandundergraduateprogramsarefullyaccredited by AACSB International.TheCollegeoffers eight majors across theBS degree in addition to MBA, MAcc, andPh.D. programs, and graduate and undergraduatecertificates. TheCollege houses three centers of excellence: The Center for Information Assurance, the Center for Economic Research, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The Center for Information Assurance is a National Security Agency (NSA) Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research and Education.

ComputerInformationSystems Department: TheCISdepartmentoffersanundergraduatemajor and minor, an informationassuranceconcentration in theCollege’sMBA,and undergraduate and graduate certificates in informationassurance.Undergraduateandgraduatecertificatesinbusinessanalytics are also offered.The department also offers a Ph.D. as a traditional,full-time,residency-basedresearch degree program. Recent CISdoctoralgraduates have held positionsat respecteduniversitiesincludingAlabama, Texas A&M,andBaylor.Departmentfacultyare active professionally,holdingleadershipandeditorialpositionsrelated to AIS, ACM, and IFIP.

Locale:LouisianaTech University is a medium-sizeduniversity(approximately12,000students).Located in Ruston,Louisiana, the University is part of growing, pleasant communityofferingexcellent family living conditions,qualityschools and medical facilities.Ruston is onInterstate 20,thirty miles west ofMonroe and sixty-five miles east ofShreveport. The College of Business is located in a state-of-the-artbuilding,which openedin 2015. The CISdepartment is locatedin a new wingthatwasadded in a 2017 expansion.The Collegeof Businesshasapproximately1,700 enrolledstudents.TheCollege has an undergraduatestudent/facultyration of 23:1. LouisianaTech University is a memberoftheUniversityofLouisianaSystem.
