The Role at a Glance
As an Assistant Professor in the College of Dental Medicine, you will contribute to the academic and professional development of dental students through instruction, assessment, and mentorship across a variety of educational settings. Working closely with students and faculty, you will help bridge foundational knowledge with clinical application while promoting evidence-based practice and a culture of continuous learning. Inspire and develop future dental professionals through engaging classroom, simulation, and case-based learning experiences that help students build confidence and clinical competency.
Make a meaningful impact on student success by mentoring, assessing, and guiding learners as they progress toward becoming skilled, compassionate practitioners.
Help shape innovative dental education by integrating evidence-based practice, biomedical sciences, and modern teaching approaches into the curriculum.
Collaborate with dedicated faculty and community partners to support curriculum alignment, public health initiatives, and exceptional student learning outcomes.
Stay at the forefront of the profession by utilizing emerging technologies, advancing your expertise through calibration and training, and contributing to a culture of lifelong learning.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications):
DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent
Teaching experience at the pre-doctoral level is preferred
