NegotiableThe University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Professor for the Construction Management (CM) Department within the College of Computing, Engineering, and construction. The department is looking for applicants who will strengthen and complement the existing Construction Management faculty in regard to teaching and research.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Teach courses within the Construction Management program; in particular, willingness
to teach classes in Scheduling, MEP Systems, Construction Management, Estimating,
Documents & Contracts, Safety, Infrastructure Resilience, and Coastal & Marine
Construction.
2. Develop and teach courses in the Masters Degree Program.
3. Pursue a scholarly research agenda including publications, and develop an externally
funded research program.
4. Work with the department on developing the required documents for accreditation.
5. Work with and mentor students, student organizations and clubs, and student
competition teams.
6. Collaborate with related disciplines, industry partners, and the First Coast community.
7. Serve committees at the various levels of the University.
Position requires a Ph.D. degree in in Construction Management or closely related field and 2 years of full-time construction industry experience is required. Record of accomplishment performing scholarly or professional activities in infrastructure resilience, and coastal & marine construction and excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
