The University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Digital Media for the Department of College of Art, Art History, and Design. Duties and responsibilities include teaching, research and service as follows:

Teaching: Course load is a 3/3 with an opportunity to teach 6-week summer sessions. A first- and fourth-year course release is provided for developing a research agenda for promotion and tenure.

Research/Scholarship/Creative Activity: Faculty are required to develop a research/scholarship and creative activity agenda, as outlined in the departmental guidelines.

Service: Faculty are expected to serve on department and university committees; local, national, or international boards of professional organizations; and/or in some other capacity that benefits the community.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.  Candidates must demonstrate experience in teaching, research, or practice in user experience (UX) design and research, including web design, app design, agile methodologies, and human-centered design methods.
