Job Description
The University of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering seeks an Assistant Professor-Industrial Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA, to teach a variety of core industrial engineering courses. Responsibilities include: (i) preparing and teaching Graduate and Undergraduate courses in multiple core industrial engineering areas, including, but not limited to, engineering management, supply chain, productivity analysis, and facility layout; (ii) advising students and collaborating with industry partners to ensure the relevance and quality of the curriculum; and (iii) overseeing the department's Supply Chain Certificate program.
Must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent degree) in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Must also have experience with: (i) teaching university-level courses in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or closely related supply chain subjects; and (ii) developing, organizing, and delivering instructions materials, including syllabi, course modules, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes.
Must also have: (i) five (5) peer-reviewed journal articles; and (ii) three (3) peer-reviewed conference papers.
Experience can be concurrent.
