Job Summary

William Paterson University invites application for one (1) full-time 10-month tenure-track faculty position. Target start date is Fall 2026.

Opportunities to Contribute: Teaching, Service and Scholarship

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Teaching:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, online, hybrid and face-to-face
  • Develop course content, objectives and measures per department needs.
  • Provide students with consistent and effective support and guidance for retention and success.
  • Contribute to student success through curriculum and program development as well as program and learning assessment
  • Contribute to the strategic and academic goals of the department, college and university through teaching, service and engagement

Service:

  • Participate in select department, college and university committees designed to enhance didactic processes and/or programs.
  • Serve as required in community service activities and other service/professional duties as assigned.

Scholarship:

  • Develop, implement and maintain an active ongoing program of professional development and academic engagement in one's field and discipline; disseminate findings via scholarly publication and presentation/grant activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned Doctorate
  • Master's Degree in nursing required if doctorate is in a discipline other than nursing
  • Expertise in community health nursing experience
  • Experience in undergraduate or graduate teaching in didactic and/or clinical settings preferred
  • RN license- State of New Jersey
  • Certification in a specialized area preferred

Starting Salary - AFT Range 25 - $77,593.35 - $89,239.24
