Assistant Professor of Economics and Management (One-year Term)

TheDepartment of Economics and Management atDePauw University invites applications for a one-year term position  at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. Ph.D. (completed by August 2026) in economics is preferred; ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor.  A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department is especially interested in candidates who will teach Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory and contribute to upper-level finance or financial economics courses.  In addition, candidates must be able to contribute to teaching economics core courses (i.e., Introduction to Economics, Introduction to Econometrics, Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, and Senior Seminar).

The Department of Economics and Management offers majors in Economics and Finance, and minors in several business-related areas, through the university’s School of Business and Leadership. The teaching assignment is six courses per year, in addition to a half-credit course taught every third year during January or May term. Funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
