Assistant Professor of Nursing
Chatham University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor of Nursing to teach in our online RN-BSN, MSN, or DNP programs. This faculty position reports directly to the Nursing Program Director and provides an exciting opportunity to advance nursing education within a collaborative, student-centered environment.
As a key member of the faculty, the successful candidate will support the mission of Chatham University through high-quality instruction, active engagement in scholarly activities, and meaningful service to the university and the broader community. We seek a dedicated educator and practitioner who is committed to preparing the next generation of nursing professionals.
This position is not remote. On-campus presence is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching online courses in the RN-BSN, MSN, or DNP Program.
Grading student assignments and providing student feedback in a timely manner.
Advising assigned nursing students.
Participating in professional, university, and departmental service.
Engaging in a program of scholarship.
Fulfilling course liaison duties as assigned.
Establishing and maintaining effective, timely, clear, professional communication with students, faculty, and staff.
Committed to continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Current unencumbered Pennsylvania professional nursing license, or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Two degrees in nursing. Doctoral degree preferred. Commitment to achieve doctoral degree within three years of hire, if not already achieved.
Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, and accreditation preferred.
Online nursing teaching experience preferred.
Defined clinical scholarly agenda.
Must be able to travel to campus regularly.
