How You Will Be Making a Difference

  • Supervise Direct Care supervisors and indirectly their staff. Ensure guidance and feedback for employee development and productivity. Participate in the performance evaluation, recognition and improvement plans, as appropriate. Participate in the selection and termination of program staff. Promote a positive and involved work environment.
  • Assist in the review, implementation and enforcement of program policies and procedures, including program evaluation standards and procedures as well as implementing actions required by Quality Assurance and Utilization Review
  • Help to foster a work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement. Promote quality programs, effective communication, positive outcomes for clients, and employee commitment.
  • Oversee the service, education and treatment plans of clients and their families. Interact with appropriate agency personnel to ensure quality client services. Coordinate work assignments, manage client behaviors, and participate in crisis prevention and intervention for groups and individuals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of annual operation budget for the program. Monitor performance against approved budget allocations and investigate variances.
  • In the absence of the Program Director, represent the Program/Agency at internal and external meetings. Maintain effective working relationships with agency staff, community agencies, state and local agencies, program employees, clients and families.
  • Assist the Program Director to assess, develop, and implement program services appropriate to needs of clients and their families. Coordinate and integrate services.
  • Plan and improve services according to client and family needs.
  • Participate in the intake and discharge process. Maintain the Program census.
  • May participate in the licensing and accreditation process to ensure compliance with state regulations. Oversee notifications and paperwork for the Department of Social Services and other relevant agencies.
  • Review critical incident reports for Quality. Develop and prepare various reports as required, such as the monthly program update. Provide feedback to staff and the Agency.

Education and Experience

  • Five or more years of work experience in a program for youth
  • Supervisory experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications
